Join us for an insightful panel discussion and Q&A session featuring climate leaders as they explore both the necessity of collaboration in driving climate action, and how to create new partnerships with unlikely allies. We’ll be covering how cross-sector collaboration can unlock innovative solutions and accelerate climate action, how large organisations are leveraging their resources and influence to drive sustainable change, as well as how the climate science community is collaborating with private and public partners to provide critical data, modelling and insights to inform effective climate action.
If co-hosted by Australia and the Pacific in 2026, UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP) will be the largest climate event and diplomatic exercise held in Australia. More than 30,000 people from 200 countries are expected to attend at a critical moment for climate action. How can such a Conference give genuine voice to the needs, perspectives, and priorities of future generations? How can we get there? Join UNICEF Australia and a cross-sectoral, intergenerational group of leaders for a panel and networking event to address these very questions. Themes will include unpacking meaningful engagement, prioritising marginalised voices, building agency and momentum, and utilising the Conference's intricate processes/structures to best achieve inclusion.

Workshop attendees will go home with appropriate native tube stock which you can confidently plant in your garden to ensure future cooler summers. This workshop is available to Bayside residents who would like to plant native trees in their private garden only. Registration will require attendees to provide their home address as this information will need to be used: - to validate that they are a Bayside resident and that they have garden space appropriate for tree planting. - to include a bird's eye view (satellite image - as seen below) of their property in their personalised workshop handout (tree planting plan). You’ll not only gain a better understanding of your backyard and the native species that will thrive in it, but you will go home with you personalised tree planting plan and appropriate tube stock to plant. By planting native trees in your garden, you can help Bayside Council grow our tree canopy cover, create a cooler microclimate over your home and help you, your family, and local wildlife, adapt to urban heat and predicted hotter summers. Started by Pledge for the Planet, econome, and a few random Greenhouse Climate Hub members, we’re fuelled by endorphins, caffeine, and good vibes—making the climate tent as big (and sweaty) as possible. 🚀 Join us at Climate Action Week 2025 for our biggest run yet! 📅 Wednesday 13th March | ⏰ 7:00 AM | 📍 Salesforce Tower, Sydney | 🏃♀️7km | ☕️ Coffee We’ll take a scenic loop around Sydney, then stick around for coffee and chats with fellow climate runners. Along the way, we’ll be: 👟 Pledging – Commit to a simple behaviour swap with Pledge for the Planet to reduce your impact. ♻️ Picking up – Grab at least three pieces of rubbish and ‘slam dunk’ them in the bin! 👞 Passing it on – Bring your old runners for recycling and keep good gear out of landfill.
